Beavers Welcome Signing Class
November 08, 2023 | Women's Soccer
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team is welcoming an outstanding signing class to the program, head coach Lauren Sinacola announced Wednesday.
The seven-player class includes Ellie Felt, Jordan Fjelstad, Sydney Head, Ari Hill, Zoe House, Shea Ryan, and Hayden Wilson.
"We are very excited about our incoming 2024 class," Sinacola said. "They are a talented group that will fit right into our competitive environment and even help turn it up a notch! Each player brings something different to the field and all of them are great people who are committed to continuing the growth of our program. We believe we have put together the best group of players to join our returners to help make the 2024 Fall season for Oregon State Women's soccer something special and one to remember."
Ari Hill – Forward – Sumner, Wash.
Ari Hill comes to the Beavers after playing for Sumner High School and Crossfire 06 ECNL. She was the 2022 4A South Puget Sound League Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, after leading the league in goals scored. Hill was a First Team All-State honoree, and was selected as the News Tribune Player of the Year.
"Ari is a fast, dynamic attacking player," Sinacola said. "She will run at defenders and always finds ways to create dangerous opportunities in the attacking third. A competitor with a high work rate, we believe Ari can make an impact in a couple different positions. We are excited to add a dynamic player like Ari to our roster in the fall."
Hill was an honor roll selection, and hopes to eventually work in the sports medicine field after her playing career is over.
"I chose Oregon State because it introduced me to a new place away from home while still giving me the feeling of being home," Hill said. "The culture the coaches showed, convinced me that this was my dream school. I believe the academic opportunities will prepare me for an engaging career I will excel in."
Zoe House – Defender – Highlands Ranch, Colo.
Zoe House joins the Beavers out of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Where she attended Valor Christian High School. She was a Second Team Colorado 5A All-State selection, and played her club soccer for Real Colorado 06 ECNL National.
"Zoe joined our 2024 class not too long ago, and we couldn't be more excited about the late addition," Sinacola said. "Zoe is fast and can get up and down the field. She is a defender that has the ability to match up and shut down dynamic attacking players. I could see her playing a couple different positions and I look forward to getting started so we can find the position where she will make the best impact!"
House enjoys charcoal painting, cooking and reaching.
"I chose Oregon State because of the faith the coaches have continuously shown in me," House said. "I enjoyed the environment of the team, and the relationships the players have with each other and with the coaches. What Oregon State is able to offer in terms of my future and my career path is exceptional."
Hayden Wilson – Defender – Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Hayden Wilson comes to the Beavers from Rancho Cucamonga High School and played club ball for Rebels IE. She was a First Team All-Baseline League selection her junior season, and has also been named Defensive MVP. Wilson's Club was a 2023 US Club Soccer National finalist and a 2023 Surf Cup finalist.
"Hayden has the potential to be a very impactful defender throughout her career," Sinacola said. "She is fast, has height, and has the work rate that will allow her to develop and improve each year. Hayden will add to the depth of our defensive unit and I believe has the ability to be a strong leader in our backline down the road."
Off the field, Wilson is her student body secretary, and is in the top seven percent of her class academically. She is an avid golfer and played her freshman year as part of her high school's boys golf team.
"I chose Oregon State because I love the lively atmosphere and the strong school spirit," Wilson said. "The campus is beautiful, and the people are dedicated to the community. The coaching staff and culture of the program are exactly what I want in a team, and I am beyond excited for my next four years at Oregon State."
