
Washington State Drops OSU in Pac-12 Opener

CORVALLIS, Ore. - A 70th-minute goal by Washington State's Sydney Studer was the difference in a 1-0 contest in the league opener for Oregon State (4-3-3, 0-1 Pac-12) at Paul Lorenz Field.
The result breaks a three-match undefeated stretch at home for the Beavers.
Gwen Jacobs and Megin Turi led the Oregon State attack with a shot on goal apiece. McKenna Martinez and Abby Schwartz each tallied two shots toward WSU's Nadia Cooper. Hailey Coll made seven stops to keep the Beavers in contention throughout the contest.
A Sinacola-era record crowd of 1,059 took in the contest at Paul Lorenz Field.
Oregon State will return to the field this Thursday, September 29 against USC. Kickoff from Paul Lorenz Field is set for 7 p.m.
