Taliese Fuaga Named To Polynesian College Football Player Of The Year Watch List

HONOLULU – Oregon State sophomore offensive lineman Taliese Fuaga has been named to the watch list for the 2022 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, which was released on Thursday.

Fuaga is one of 83 players on the watch list who represent 43 FBS programs. The honor is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate football player with Polynesian ancestry.

Fuaga, a Tacoma, Wash., native, has played in 14 games over two seasons for the Beavers, including 10 in 2021. He was part of an offensive line that was a finalist for the prestigious Joe Moore Award last season. Prior to coming to Oregon State, he played in the 2020 Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu and was an all-league and all-area selection on the offensive line at Mount Tahoma High School.

Five finalists for the 2022 honor will be announced on December 1, with the winner selected 15 days later.

The Beavers open the 2022 season Sept. 3 when hosting Boise State at Reser Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. PT. Tickets for the 2022 season can be purchased by visiting BeaverTickets.com or calling 1-800-GOBEAVS to see the Beavers home and away. The game versus Oregon is sold out.
