
Beaver All-Around Duo of Carey and Dagen Land All-Pac-12 Conference Teams

SAN FRANCISCO – The Oregon State gymnastics all-around duo of Jade Carey and Madi Dagen continue to collect regular season awards Wednesday morning, earning a combined six All-Pac-12 Conference honors.
After the pair finished in the top-four at last Saturday's Pac-12 Championships, the all-arounders both pulled in first-team All-Pac-12 honors in the all-around.
Carey led the way with four other selections after being named the 2022 Pac-12 Gymnast and Freshman of the Year prior to the championship meet. She finished the season ranked No. 1 in the all-around, second on bars, third on floor, sixth on vault and No. 11 on beam amongst the country.
Concluding the regular season, the Olympic gold medalist hit all 40 routines this season that included an impressive 38 9.9s after anchoring the Beavers all season. Carey posted a 39.725 in the all-around Saturday to earn the outright Pac-12 title for Oregon State since Leslie Mak in 2011. She also claimed co-champion status on floor with a 9.95.
Dagen finished fourth at Saturday's championships, which is her highest finish of her career with a 39.450. The senior is currently tied for 18th in the country in the all-around and is tied for fourth in the Pac-12. The all-around conference nod is the first for Dagen and third first-team award of her career after being named first-team on vault and beam in 2021.
The All-Pac-12 Teams are based on the most recent RoadToNationals rankings. The All-Pac-12 first team consists of the top-six all-around finishers and the top-six finishers on each individual event. Honorable mention selections consist of the seventh and eighth place finishers in each individual event and the all-around.
Oregon State is back in action next Thursday, March 31 in the Seattle NCAA Regional Second Round. No. 13 Oregon State will compete in the evening session against No. 4 Utah, Illinois and the winner of the Stanford/San Jose State compete-in meet on Wednesday.
