Beavers Cap Non-Conference Action with North Dakota

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State University women's soccer team is set to close non-conference action with North Dakota on Friday at 6 p.m. at Lorenz Field in Corvallis, Ore. This will be Oregon State's first encounter with the Fighting Hawks. Tickets for Friday's match are available for purchase ranging from $4-$6. Parking will be available in the Bloss Hall parking lot across the street from Lorenz Field or in the scoreboard section of the Reser Stadium lot.
Last Time Out
Oregon State extended its win streak to seven on Sept. 9, edging past UC Irvine, 2-1, in Irvine Calif. Freshman Amaya Bautista and sophomore Valerie Tobias earned their first collegiate goals. Bautista scored in the 39th minute off a header, assisted by graduate student Kaillen Fried. In the 77th minute of action, Tobias scored the game-winning goal, finding the far post. In goal, senior Bridgette Skiba tallied six saves.
Scouting North Dakota
North Dakota is 2-3-0 (0-0-0 Summit League) on the season. The Fighting Hawks notched a 7-0 shutout on the road at Southern on Aug. 28 and a 3-0 shutout at home against Northern State on Sept. 7. North Dakota's losses come at the hands of Idaho, Bemidji State, and Minnesota.
Junior Bailey McNitt and fifth-year senior Mara Yapello lead the Fighting Hawks with two goals apiece. McNitt, freshman Julia Briggs, and redshirt junior Hannah Olson each have one assist on the season. In goal, junior Madi Livingston has clocked 421:23 minutes and tallied 19 saves, allowing five goals. North Dakota has ten goals compared to five by their opponents.
Last season, the Fighting Hawks went 5-9-0 (5-9-0 Summit League). North Dakota posted overtime wins over Kansas City on Mar. 26 and Mar. 28 as well as wins within regulation over Western Illinois on Mar. 5 and Mar. 7. The Fighting Hawks also edged past North Dakota State, 1-0, on Mar. 14.
