Wade Meckler broke a scoreless stalemate with an eighth-inning bases-loaded single to pace Oregon State to a 1-0 series-opening win over BYU Thursday. Kevin Abel, Reid Sebby and Jake Mulholland combined to limit BYU to one hit and five walks with 10 strikeouts. Sebby got the win to improve to 2-0 this season.
