CORVALLIS – The Oregon State cross country team will open its season on Friday at the Oregon XC Open in Eugene, Ore.

Event Details:

Location: Lane Community College Cross Country Course – Eugene, Ore.
Date: Friday, Feb. 5 – 10 a.m.
Teams Competing: No. 21 Oregon State, No. 24 Oregon, Gonzaga, Portland, San Francisco
Distance: 5K
No spectators will be allowed at the event

2020-21 Season:
The 2020-21 Cross Country season has been pushed to the spring due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Stay tuned to OSUBeavers.com for updates on the Oregon State Cross Country and Track and Field schedules.

Academics:
The Oregon State Cross Country squad posted an impressive 3.77 GPA during fall quarter. Ten Beavers on this season's squad made the Pac-12 honor roll last year – Batya Beard, Grace Fetherstonhaugh, Alyssa Foote, Mari Friedman, Maddie Fuhrman Alexa Hayes, Rebecca Ledsham, Audrey Lookner, Lexi Reed, and Haley Wolf.

Last Time Out:
The Beavers capped off the 2019 season at the NCAA West Regionals in Colfax, Washington. OSU finished seventh as a team with 248 points. Lexi Reed was the top finisher for Oregon State, taking 28th with a time of 20:37.1. Audrey Lookner took 47th with a time of 20:57.8 and Haley Wolf finished in 21:00 to take 50th to round out the top-3 finishers for the Beavers.
