
Two Join Oregon State Football Program

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State football head coach Jonathan Smith announced Friday the addition of two student-athletes who will join the program for the 2021 season.
Joining the Beavers are offensive lineman Tyler Voltin, from Stayton, Ore., and wide receiver Trent Walker of Portland.

TYLER VOLTIN
Offensive Lineman
6-6, 350
Stayton, Ore.
Regis Catholic HS
• Letterwinner for head coach Jeff Wiltsey
• Three-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines
• Three-year team captain
• 2019 Conference Lineman of the Year. Also earned all-state first-team honors
• Named third-team all-state on the defensive line
• Second-team all-conference on the offensive line in both 2017 and 2018
• Second-team all-conference on the defensive line in both 2017 and 2018 as well
• Also punted and kicked, earning all-league honors in 2019
• Also lettered in basketball and baseball. Earned all-conference in basketball in 2018. All-conference in baseball in 2018 and a two-time Silver Slugger team award recipient
• Son of Nikki and Matt Voltin
• Has one sister, Hailey, and two brothers, Austin and Casey
• Member of the High Honor Roll and National Honor Roll in high school
• Also a member of the National Thespian Society
• Chose Oregon State because of "family, the atmosphere and the football program is on the rise."
TRENT WALKER
Wide Receiver
6-3, 195
Portland, Ore.
Beaverton HS
• Letterwinner for head coach Bob Boyer
• Played wide receiver, defensive back, kick returner and punt returner
• First-team all-league at both wide receiver and defensive back as a junior. Earned second-team all-state honors at wide receiver and honorable mention at defensive back
• Totaled 1,600 all-purpose yards as a junior. Totaled 1,100 receiving yards with 13 touchdowns. Defensively, totaled 59 tackles with two interceptions - one for a touchdown - with three forced fumbles
• As a sophomore, totaled 760 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Also recorded two interceptions and a forced fumble on the defensive side of the ball
• Also lettered in basketball (small forward) and baseball (shortstop)
• Son of Stacia and Tom Walker
• Has one brother, Trevor
• Mother, father and brother all attended Oregon State
• Intends to study business administration at Oregon State
• Member of the Honor Roll at Beaverton High School
• Chose Oregon State because "OSU is my dream school. It's where my whole immediate family went and where we had season tickets during my childhood. I also feel like Corvallis is a perfect fit for me."
