
Beavers Fall to Aggies in Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl

Oregon State ends year 7-6
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Oregon State football team ended its 2021 season with a 24-13 defeat to Utah State Saturday evening at the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl in Los Angeles.

The Beavers end the season with a record of 7-6, making their first bowl appearance since 2013.

B.J. Baylor rushed for 78 yards in the game. Chance Nolan completed 22 of 30 passes for 263 yards, and added a 19-yard rush to his day.

Luke Musgrave had three catches for 44 yards, while Tre'Shaun Harrison had four catches for 39.

Kyrei Fisher led the Beavers with 10 tackles, followed by Omar Speights with nine. Jaydon Grant and Keonte Schad had eight tackles apiece.

Akili Arnold and Kitan Oladapo both came up with interceptions in the contest.

Oregon State struck early, finding the endzone after just three offensive plays, capping a 52-second drive with a 20-yard Jesiah Irish touchdown. Arnold came up with an interception later in the first quarter, as the Beavers ended the period in front 7-0.

Utah State leveled the scored with a touchdown early in the second, before Everett Hayes put the Beavers back on top with a 37-yard field goal. The Aggies tacked on another touchdown to head to the intermission in front 14-10.

USU extended the advantage to 14 in the third quarter. Hayes punched through his second field goal of the game to get the Beavers back within 11 early in the fourth quarter. The Aggies held on from there to take the win.

The game marked the 18th all-time bowl appearance for the Beavers.
