Beavers In The NFL: Remmers, Moore Advance To Super Bowl LV
January 25, 2021 | Football
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Offensive lineman Mike Remmers and quarterback Matt Moore are headed to Super Bowl LV as members of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs defeated Buffalo, 38-24, to advance for the second consecutive season.
The game, set for Feb. 7 in Tampa Bay, is slated for a 3:30 p.m. PT start on CBS. The Chiefs will take on Tampa Bay.
Oregon State will have now had at least one player in the Super Bowl for eight consecutive seasons.
Remmers started at right tackle in the win, and saw action in all 65 of Kansas City's offensive snaps. He is making his second trip to the Super Bowl after advancing to Super Bowl 50 as a member of the Carolina Panthers. Carolina lost that game to Denver, 24-10.
Moore, who is on the practice squad and did not play Sunday, won Super Bowl LIV as a member of the Chiefs last season.
Jordan Poyer was on the other side of the ball in Sunday's game, and started at safety for the Bills. He led Buffalo with eight tackles.
