CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State football's Michael Doctor has been promoted to director of recruiting, head coach Jonathan Smith announced Friday.
Doctor, who was previously the team's director of on-campus recruiting since July 2019, and as a recruiting assistant before that, played for Oregon State from 2010-14. He started 38 games for the Beavers from 2011-14, totaling 238 tackles with 22.5 tackles for loss.
During his time at Oregon State, he was a watch list selection for the LOTT Impact Trophy, which is given annually to college football's best defensive player in performance and character.
In one of his last games with the Beavers, the Tulsa, Okla., native intercepted an Arizona State pass in the fourth quarter, and ran it for a touchdown in a 35-27 win over the then-No. 8 Sun Devils.
