GET TO KNOW ASSISTANT COACH KEVIN LEGG:
What drew your to Oregon State and what makes the Oregon State program special?
The Culture is very special here, the women in this program are not only good players but great people. They work hard on the field and off and they are players I am proud to be around and coach.Â
Â
What is your favorite thing about Corvallis?
I like walking around campus and I feel safe here.Â
Â
What is your proudest moment as a coach?
Seeing a player achieve their goal that they have worked so hard on. A player's success is what makes me proud
Â
What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
When I am not spending time with my family and five children I am out on the course playing golf. So with those two do not really have time for much else
Â
What made you fall in love with the sport of soccer?
It was the first sport I played as a child, and I was drawn to the creativity of the sport. There is always room to learn every day and still to this day I am educating and learning new ideas in order to get better.Â
Â
Describe yourself as a player:
I was a box to box '6', who looked to dictate the pace of play and be the player the ball went thru to build the offense. I loved to give the assist by being creative with my passes.Â
Â
Which club(s) do you support?
Manchester United
Â
What are you most looking forward to during the 2020 season?
I am looking to get back on the field and start working with these talented women. Â
Â
What did you do to get through the COVID 19 lockdown?
Spending time in my household and with my family helped me take my mind off of the lockdown.Â
