
Quarantine Q & A with Ellie Turner

Our quarantine series of Q & A's continues today with freshman Ellie Turner. Ellie elected to graduate high school early to enroll at Oregon State in January and to participate in spring practice. Unfortunately school and practice were interrupted by the COVID pandemic.
Q: Where are you quarantining?
A: I was home in Austin, but recently came back to Corvallis.
Q: What is the biggest positive to come from your quarantine?
A: Spending time with friends and family back home.
Q: What is your preferred work out location during quarantine?
A: Outside
Q: Abs or cardio?
A: Abs
Q: What TV series have you enjoyed the most during the quarantine?
A: Outer Banks.
Q: What have you done during the quarantine that you didn't do during normal life?
A: Played volleyball with my parents.
Q: Have you done anything to improve yourself during quarantine?
A: I got better at painting my nails.
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: Something in business related to sportswear or shoes
Q: Is there a skill you are/were focused on improving during the offseason?
A: Serve-receive
Q: How was remote college for you? What was your biggest school challenge?
A: It was weird at first, but then got better. The difference in time zones was the hard part!
Q: What do you look forward to the most about getting back to Corvallis?
A: I can't wait to get back to the gym to play with my team again.
Q: You've gone through a strange academic year, arriving on campus in January before going into quarantine before your first term was through. Were you able to get comfortable with college and Corvallis before you headed home?
A: Everyone was so welcoming and made my early transition so easy. It was hard to go back home so quickly, and I am happy to be back in Corvallis.
