Our quarantine series of Q & A's continues today with rising sophomore Nya Buckner. Nya missed the 2019 season due to injury and is expected to vie for her first playing time at OSU when practice resumes in the fall.

Q: Where are you quarantining?
A: I am quarantining in Arizona with my family.
Â
Q: What is the biggest positive to come from your quarantine?
A: The biggest positive is getting to spend quality time with my family.
Â
Q: What is your preferred work out location during quarantine?
A: I like to work out in my garage.
Â
Q: Abs or cardio?
A: Gotta do both ;)

Q: How is your recovery from last year's injury going? Will you be ready to go full speed when practice starts?
A: Recovery is going well! Once practice starts I'll be ready to go!

Q: What TV series have you enjoyed the most during the quarantine?
A: Outer Banks on Netflix is really good.
Â
Q: What have you done during the quarantine that you didn't do during normal life?
A: I cook a lot with my mom and sister, and we do puzzles!

Q: Have you done anything to improve yourself during quarantine?
A: I do a lot of yoga, meditation and self-reflection.
Â
Q: What was your favorite moment from the 2019 volleyball season?
A: My favorite moment was beating Oregon at home in five sets!

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: I want to be an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYM).
Â
Q: Is there a skill you are/were focused on improving during the offseason?
A: I was focusing on attacking and hitting shots.
Â
Q: How is remote college working out? What has been your biggest school challenge?
A: I actually like remote learning, but my biggest challenge has been organic chemistry!Â

Q: What do you look forward to the most about getting back to Corvallis (or other people getting back to Corvallis?
A: I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends!
