
Quarantine Q & A with Kaitlyn Yanish

Our gymnastics quarantine series continues with a Q & A with senior-to-be Kaitlyn Yanish, who is back in Corvallis during the quarantine.
Q: Where are you quarantining?
A: I am quarantining in Corvallis.
Q: What is the biggest positive to come from your quarantine?
A: The biggest positive from quarantine would be having some free time to focus on self-care. It has been really nice to have some time to relax from my busy schedule as a student-athlete.
Q: What is your preferred work out location during quarantine?
A: My preferred workout location would be at home. I have some weights and some workouts that I follow.
Q: Abs or cardio?
A: Abs!!
Q: What TV series have you enjoyed the most during the quarantine?
A: I recently have been watching Bob's Burgers and I started Seinfeld this week!
Q: What have you done during the quarantine that you didn't do during normal life?
A: I have been cooking a lot lately. Usually my schedule is so busy it's hard to find time to cook after a long day of classes and workouts.
Q: Have you done anything to improve yourself during quarantine?
A: I have been drinking a lot more water.
Q: What was your favorite moment from the 2020 gymnastics season?
A: My favorite moment from this season would be getting to visit Universal Studios with the team while we were in Orlando!
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: I'm still not sure what exactly I want to be. But I love being helpful, creative and I love working with people.
Q: Is there a skill you're looking forward to learning during the offseason?
A: I'm looking forward to working on a new floor routine!
Q: How is remote college working out? What has been your biggest school challenge?
A: Remote college has been good but definitely different. Working out, eating, sleeping and doing school work all in the same place can be challenging because I'm used to having more separation in my life. But I've figured out a routine that works for me.
Q: What do you look forward to the most about getting back to Corvallis (or other people getting back to Corvallis?
A: I can't wait to hang out with my team again! I love our team so much because we're more than just teammates but family too! Team hangout nights have been some of my favorite memories in college.
