
Ryan Ober Named Academic All-District

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State baseball junior Ryan Ober has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Thursday.
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
Ober, a finance major with a 3.66 cumulative grade point average from Snohomish, Wash., saw action at both third base and designated hitter this season. He played in nine games and collected 10 hits with a double, five runs batted in and three walks. In three seasons with Oregon State, he is batting .250 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 27 RBI in 65 games.
The academic honor is the second of Ober's career. He was named a Pac-12 First-Team All-Academic selection in 2019 as a sophomore.
He is now eligible to be named an Academic All-American; the 2020 team for baseball will be announced from June 8-11.
All-Academic teams are voted on by media relations and communications professionals at schools across the country. District 8 is made up of teams from the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai'i, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington and Canada.
