April 25, 2020 | Football
CORVALLIS – Oregon State wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins has been selected in the sixth round, 207th overall, by the Buffalo Bills on Saturday in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Hodgins played for the Beavers from 2017-19, amassing 176 receptions in 34 career games, 27 of which were starts. His 176 catches rank sixth for a career at Oregon State, while his 2,322 receiving yards rank seventh. Hodgins also caught 20 touchdowns, tied for the second-most in a career.
The wide receiver completed his career with eight 100-yard games, good for sixth, including a 14-catch, 200-yard day at Nevada in 2018. His 14 receptions that day tied an OSU single-game record and the 200 yards ranks 10th.
Season ticket prices for the 2020 season remain the same as for 2019, with an additional game and the 124th Civil War. For information on season tickets please call 541-737-2050 or online at osubeavers.com.
He was a 2019 Biletnikoff Award semifinalist and All-Pac-12 First-Team selection by the Associated Press and Phil Steele. He was named second team by the Pac-12 Conference's coaches. That followed a 2018 All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection by the Pac-12's coaches. A speech communication major, he also earned 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honors.
Hodgins, an Oakley, Calif., native, is the first early NFL Draft selection from Oregon State since Isaac Seumalo was selected by Philadelphia in 2016. Other early draft selections include Steven Jackson (2004 by the St. Louis Rams), Jacquizz Rodgers (2010 by the Atlanta Falcons), Brandin Cooks (2014 by the New Orleans Saints) and Scott Crichton (2014 by the Minnesota Vikings).
Hodgins joins the list of Oregon State wide receivers taken in the NFL Draft this century, which includes Cooks, Markus Wheaton (2013, 3rd round, Pittsburgh), Mike Hass (2006, 6th round, New Orleans), Chad Johnson (2001, 1st round, Cincinnati) and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (2001, 7th round, Cincinnati).
Hodgins is the seventh Beaver taken all-time by Buffalo, joining Bill Enyart (1969), Reggie Bynum (1986), Armon Hatcher (1999), Tim Euhus (2004), Keith Ellison (2006) and Andy Levitre (2009).
