No. 18 Beavers to Host No. 3 UCLA Saturday

• Oregon State returns to Corvallis to host No. 3 UCLA at Gill Coliseum on Saturday at 1 p.m. This week's contest is the first of three straight home meets to conclude the regular season.
• The Beavers moved up the rankings this week to No. 18 in this week's rankings according to RoadToNationals.com.
• The Beavers will look to post a high score to replace the 195.325 they scored in the home opener against Seattle Pacific & Centenary in their National Qualifying Score (NQS).
• OSU enters the week with a 8-5 overall record and is 3-2 in Pac-12 competition.
• Oregon State is in the third of five straight meets against teams ranked in the top 13 in the nation.
• UCLA, which enters the week ranked No. 3, has a record of 8-3. The Bruins scored 198.025 in a loss to Utah last week.

AGAINST THE BRUINS
• The Beavers trail the all-time the series with the Bruins, 28-88-1.
• Oregon State has lost the last six meetings between the teams dating back to 2017. However, the Beavers posted a season-best 197.450 in a dual meet against the Bruins in Corvallis in 2019.
SUPER SENIORS
• OSU has eight seniors on the roster consisting of Halli Briscoe, Lacy Dagen, Destinee Davis, Sabrina Gill, Jaime Law, Maela Lazaro, Isis Lowery and Alyssa Minyard.
• The senior class has performed a team-leading 84 routines and has combined to 'hit' 77 of those routines.
DAGEN DUO
• Sisters Lacy Dagen and Madi Dagen combined to hit their first 31 routines of the season.
• Lacy posted a career-best 9.975 on the beam against Stanford to win the the event title and lead the team to a season-best 49.375 on the event ... she has collected two event titles in 2020.
• Madi secured her first event title of the season against Stanford scoring a career-high 9.90 on the vault completing the first Yurchenko 1 1/2 of her career ... she has secured four event titles in 2020, including three last week at California.
EVENT TITLES
• After eight meets, the Beavers have secured 22 event titles (including ties).
• Madi Dagen caught fire last Saturday at California recording scores of 9.90 or better on each of her three events to tie for event titles on each. She produced a career-best 9.925 on the vault, while adding season-best scores of 9.90 on beam and floor.
• At Utah, Isis Lowery and Kaitlyn Yanish each scored 9.90s to tie for the event title on the floor exercise ... it marked the fifth time in the previous six meets Yanish had captured part of the floor title ... it was also the third straight meet that Lowery posted the meet's top floor score.
• Against LSU & Arizona State, Maela Lazaro tied her career-high with a 9.925 on the balance beam to win the event title ... Lowery and Yanish tied for top honors on the floor exercise with matching scores of 9.925.
• Against Stanford, three different OSU gymnasts secured event titles. Madi Dagen captured her first title of the season with a career-high 9.90 on the vault, Lacy Dagen nabbed the beam title with a career-best 9.975 and Lowery won the floor title with a personal-mark of 9.975 as well.
• OSU gymnasts snagged a couple more titles at Arizona with Lacy Dagen and Lowery scoring 9.850 to tie for top honors on the beam while Yanish earned a score of 9.925 to win on the floor.
• Lazaro earned her first event title of the season tying her career-best with a 9.925 on the beam at Sacramento State. Yanish secured her second straight floor title with a 9.90 on the event as well.
• OSU gymnasts swept the competition in the Beavs' home opener against Seattle Pacific and Centenary. Yanish scored 9.850 on the vault, Halli Briscoe went for a 9.850 on the bars, and Lowery secured the beam title with a 9.875. Yanish and Lowery each tallied scores of 9.925 to tie for top honors on the floor exercise.
• Sabrina Gill swiped the uneven bars title at the season-opening Critique Classic with a 9.80.
LAST WEEK AT CALIFORNIA
• Oregon State had perhaps its best meet of the year, start to finish, hitting all 24 routines for just the second time in 2020. OSU posted its best vault score of the year (49.150) and set a season-best on the road (196.600) in the loss at Berkeley.
• Madi Dagen went bonkers at Berkeley tying for titles on each of her three events including a career-best 9.925 on the vault. She tied her season-high on the balance beam with a 9.90 and set a season-best of 9.90 on the floor exercise.
• A week after joining the vault lineup for the first time in nearly two years, Sabrina Gill was a last-minute entry to the beam lineup for the first time this season, scoring 9.775.
QUICK STICKS
• All four of OSU's lineups are ranked among the top 30 in the nation. The balance beam lineup is the highest ranked for the Beavers at No. 9 (49.200 National Qualifying Score). Floor is 13th (49.285), vault is No. 24 (48.970) and uneven bars is No. 29 (48.915).
• Oregon State has 'hit' 178 out of 192 (92.7%) routines in 2020 ... in comparison, the Beavers 'hit' 313 out of 336 (93.2%) routines last season.
• Through eight meets, OSU's routine production breakdown looks like this: Seniors have performed 84 of 192 routines in 2020 (43.8%), juniors have produced 39 of 192 (20.3%), sophomores 39 of 192 (20.3%) and freshmen 30 of 192 (15.6%).

• Eleven of OSU's 15 regular season opponents on the 2020 schedule are currently ranked in the top 36, including six in the top 13.

In November, four gymnasts made official commitments to join the Oregon State gymnastics program for the 2020-21 academic year. Sydney Gonzales (Newport Beach, Calif.), Kaitlyn Hoiland (Kent, Wash.), Anna Yeates (Roseville, Calif.) and Ariana Young (San Mateo, Calif.) are scheduled to enroll at Oregon State this coming summer ... last month, the Beavers received a fifth commitment from Julia Melchert (Puyallup, Wash.) to also join the program in the fall and this week Grace Johnson (Snoqualmie, Wash.) made her commitment to become a Beaver next fall as well ... in addition, 2018 signee Jade Carey (Phoenix, Ariz.), who has deferred her enrollment to train for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics still plans to join the Beavers in time for the 2021 season.
