
Get to Know Ivana Perez

The 2020 season is just over a week away. Meet our sixth newcomer, Ivana Perez. Ivana is a freshman outfielder from La Habra, Calif.
What is your favorite thing about Oregon State?
My favorite thing about Oregon State is the beautiful scenery and the amazing people.
How would you describe what it's like playing for Coach Berg and her staff?
It's an honor to play for someone I looked up to when I was younger. The whole coaching staff is very supportive and push the team to be their best.
At what age did you know you wanted to play softball in college? What made you realize that?
When I went into travel ball I knew I wanted to play at a higher level. My first travel ball coaches helped me realize I had the work ethic and ability to play collegiate softball.
What is your major and what do you enjoy about it?
My intended major is Kinesiology. I like the fact that I can have a job that still involves sports.
Who has had the biggest influence on your softball career?
The person who had the biggest influence on my softball career is my mother. She has been there with me through it all.
What is the best thing about living in Corvallis?
The best thing about Corvallis is experiencing weather I never got back home.
What actress would you have play you in a movie about your life?
Jennifer Lopez
Do you have any pregame rituals or traditions?
I always put on my left sock first before my right sock.
What is your favorite movie or TV show to watch?
My favorite TV show is "Impractical Jokers," while my favorite movie is "The Little Mermaid."
What is your favorite zoo animal?
Monkey
If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would have dinner with Kevin Hart because he is funny!
