Beavers To Battle Buffaloes Sunday In Boulder

THE GAME: Oregon State (10-3, 0-1 Pac-12) goes for the road split of the Mountain schools when it takes on Colorado (12-2, 1-0 Pac-12) at 3 p.m. PT on Sunday at the CU Events Center in Boulder.

QUICKLY: Oregon State went 3-1 in the second game of Pac-12 road trips last season with wins at Utah, USC and Washington State; the loss came at Arizona ... The Beavers lead the Pac-12 in blocked shots per game (6.54) and are second in assists (16.08) and assist/turnover ratio (1.41) ... The Beavers won the first meeting last season, 76-74, on Jan. 31 at the CU Events Center. Stephen Thompson Jr. scored a game-high 21 points, Tres Tinkle finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, and Ethan Thompson added 14 points. Oregon State's other win in Boulder came on March 9, 2013 when they rallied in the second half for a 64-58 victory in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Since Colorado became a member of the Pac-12 in 2011, the Buffaloes have won nine of the 15 games, including three in the Pac-12 Tournament. The most recent was last season in the quarterfinals, 73-58, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Tres Tinkle scored 23 points in the loss.
