
Yanish, Still Named Student-Athletes of the Month

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce Kaitlyn Yanish and Hayden Still have been named as January Student-Athletes of the Month.
Yanish, a junior from Chandler, Ariz., is a two-time All-American on the floor exercise for the Beavers. Yanish, who is a digital communication arts major, posted season-high scores of 9.850 on the vault and 9.925 on the floor to secure titles on both events, helping the Beavers to victory in their home opener against Seattle Pacific and Centenary on Saturday.
Still, a sophomore, is majoring in graphic design in the College of Liberal Arts with a 3.51 overall GPA. The Lakewood, Colo. native has appeared in three events as a heavyweight thus far in the 2019-20 campaign. Still has recorded three pins this season with his fastest fall of 1:39 coming at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 15.
Student-athletes are selected each month and are coordinated by the Academics for Student-Athletes staff.
The OSU gymnastics team is on the road this week visiting Sacramento State on Friday for a tri-meet also featuring No. 21 Arizona. The Beavers return to Gill Coliseum Sunday, Feb. 2 when they host Stanford on Pac-12 Network for the program's annual DAM Cancer meet.
The Oregon State wrestlers are also on the road on Friday visiting the desert to face Arizona State. The Beaver grapplers return to Corvallis to host Wyoming, Friday, Jan. 31. on Pac-12 Network.
