Beavers set for Bill Dellinger Invitational
September 25, 2019 | Women's Cross Country
The Beavers face a talented field of nationally ranked teams in their second meet of the season.
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State cross country team is prepped to face a talented field when they head to Springfield, Oregon to take part in the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Saturday, September 28th. Hosted by the University of Oregon, the Beavers second meet of the season will feature five women's teams ranked inside the top-30 of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll.
Oregon State will take the line for the women's six-kilometer (3.73-mile) race at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Pine Ridge Golf Club. The Beavers head into the meet ranked fifth in the west region and also received votes in the national poll, as announced by the USTFCCCA last week.
"This is a great chance for us to see where we're at and see what we've got," head coach Louie Quintana said. "We haven't raced in three weeks so we've been at it and training. The women look good but we want to see where they are when they're tested Saturday."
The Beavers will run a lineup of 15 including: Batya Beard, Erin Dietz, Liv Downing, Mari Friedman, Maddie Fuhrman, Kate Intile, Rebecca Ledsham, Audrey Lookner, Meagen Lowe, Emily Perez, Gabby Peterson, Lexi Reed, Libby Rinck, Greta Van Calcar and Haley Wolf. Â Senior Alyssa Foote will also compete unattached.
Oregon State last competed in the Bill Dellinger Invite in the 2017-18 season where they finished sixth out of ten teams.Â
In their second meet of the season, the Beavers will take on a talented field of 13 teams including a handful of nationally ranked opponents which includes two Pac-12 foes. This gives the team a glimpse of how they stack up against the Pac-12 and NCAA's best.

Received Votes: Air Force, Texas
