What is your favorite thing about playing at Oregon State?  Â
Daniel Rodriguez: "Being able to play at a high level and being able to play with my teammates."
What do you like most about Oregon State University, aside from playing football?  Â
DR: "The people at OSU. Everyone is very kind and very helpful if I ever need anything."
What has been your favorite class at Oregon State?  Â
DR: "New media and society. It is interesting learning about how different technologies affect our society."
How would you describe what it's like to play for your position coach, Jake Cookus?  Â
DR: "It is a privilege to play for such a good coach. He cares about his players and works hard to give us all the resources to be successful on and off the field. Coach Cookus is a great role model for me."
"Does your number mean anything to you?  Â
DR: "I've had my number since freshman year. It reminds me how far I've come playing this game."
If you weren't playing football, what would you be doing?  Â
DR: "Continuing to get my education and working to help pay for school."
What was your first impression of Oregon State when being recruited? How has that changed, if any?  Â
DR: "I liked the college town atmosphere and having my sister playing soccer here was great."
Who are the teammate(s) you hang out the most with away from the field?  Â
DR: "Jordan Choukair."
What are your thoughts on the new uniforms?  Â
DR: "The new uniforms are great! They are comfortable. It's great to have them for my senior year."
If you could meet any historical figure, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
DR: "LeBron James, because he has been through a lot during his career and I would want to ask him questions about his story of how he became the person he is today."
Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
DR: "I always text my mom before games."
What life lessons has the game of football taught you?  Â
DR: "It taught me how to work hard and to never give up. And that whatever I put my mind to, I can do."
What doors has football opened that might not otherwise been an option?  Â
DR: "I recently accepted a job because I went to a career fair that our Director of Beyond Football had me attend."
What does an Oregon State education mean to you?  Â
DR: "It means a lot. It means that I worked hard to get something that I really wanted. I can do anything I put my mind to which was get a degree from Oregon State."
