
Beavers Receiving Votes in United Soccer Coaches Poll

OSU carries a 5-0 record into the weekend in Texas
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Association Poll following the third week of games, the organization released on Tuesday.
Oregon State is carrying a 5-0-0 record into the first out-of-state road trip this season, marking the best start since 2010 when the Beavers started 5-0 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championships before dropping a 2-1 decision to Oklahoma State finishing the season with a 16-4-1 overall record.
This is the first time OSU has received votes or been ranked since Sept. 30, 2012.
Oregon State is also currently ranked No. 9 in the Pacific Region joining nine other Pac-12 schools in the region and Boise State.
Individual players are towards the top of the NCAA leaderboard in numerous categories as well. Sophomore goalkeeper, Bridgette Skiba, currently sits seventh in the nation in lowest goals against average (.195), tied for 16th in shutouts this season (four) and tied for 21st in save percentage (.889).
Freshman Brianna McReynolds is tied for 49th in assists this season (three), while redshirt sophomore McKenzie Weinert is tied for 56th in goals per game (.80).
As a team, the Beavers sit fifth in the nation for goals against average (.195), tied for 23rd in corners per game (7.00) and tied for 41st in goals per game (2.40).
Oregon State looks to continue its success this week in Houston, Texas when the Beavers takes on the University of Houston on Thursday, Sept. 12 before facing Rice University on Sunday, Sept. 18.
