Beavers will play 11 home games.
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team will play 11 home games and seven TV matches in the 2019 season, as the team announced its schedule Wednesday.
The Beavers will open the season Aug. 24 on the road at Portland State before returning home for a four-game home stand. Oregon State will welcome Villanova to Lorenz Field Aug. 30, before hosting Saint Mary's (Calif.) on Sept. 1 (Pac-12 Networks), University of New Mexico on Sept. 5 and UC Davis on Sept. 8.
The first major road trip for OSU will come four days later, as the Beavers head to Houston, Texas to take on Rice Sept. 12 and tournament host Houston Sept. 15 for the Houston Invitational. Oregon State has never previously faced the Owls or the Cougars in women's soccer.
OSU will return home Sept. 19 to wrap-up nonconference action against Idaho. The two have met six times in previous years, but have not played a match since 2007 when the Beavers won 2-1 in overtime.
Oregon State will open Pac-12 play with three road games starting at Washington State on Sept. 28 (Pac-12 Networks). A week later, the Beavers travel to Salt Lake City for a matchup with Utah Oct. 3 followed by a game at Colorado Oct. 6. Both games against Utah and Colorado will be on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Bay Area schools will come to Corvallis in the middle of October, as California and Stanford play games at Lorenz Field on the 10th and 13th, respectively. Oregon State will then host Washington the following Friday for a match-up Oct. 18.
The Beavers make the final road trip a week later, traveling to Arizona for a match against Arizona State Oct. 24 (Pac-12 Networks) and then Arizona Oct. 27.
Oregon State will wrap up the season with a three-game homestead hosting UCLA Oct. 31 (Pac-12 Networks) and USC Nov. 3. The Beavers will then look to capture their 14th Civil War victory to cap off the regular season Nov. 7, when they host Oregon at Lorenz Field on the Pac-12 Networks.
