June 19, 2019 | Women's Soccer
Corvallis – Former Oregon State women's soccer graduate Allison Pantuso is heading overseas to begin her professional career after signing with Football Femminile Lugano 1976 in Lugano, Switzerland.
"I am super excited for the opportunity to continue doing what I've always loved while experiencing a place that is completely new to me," stated Pantuso. "I can't wait to be on the pitch again."
The Thousand Oaks, Calif., native was the OSU MVP for both the 2017 and 2018 season. Pantuso played in a total of 74 games during her time at Oregon State. She started the last two seasons for the Beavers, playing primarily as a defender of holding midfielder. Her lone goal of the 2018 campaign came in Oregon State's 2-1 win over California.
One of the 2018 team captains, Pantuso finished her career at Oregon State with four goals, including a golden goal in overtime against Portland in 2015 and a game-winner against Kansas later that same year. Pantuso was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on Aug. 25, 2015 and earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 10, 2017.
Pantuso recently graduated with a psychology major, and was named to the Pac-12 Academic Second Team as a senior.
Pantuso has signed through the 2019-2020 season and will join FF Lugano 1976 in early July.
