
16 Beavers Named Pac-12 All-Academic

SAN FRANCISCO – Three straight years.
Oregon State has 16 players who have been named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams for the third consecutive season. That ties the Oregon State single-season record originally set in 2017, and tied in 2018.
On Thursday, Ryan Ober (accountancy) was named to the first team in his first year of eligibility. Andy Armstrong (human development and family sciences) picked up his second consecutive second-team honor.
Fourteen Beavers earned honorable mention honors on Thursday. Zak Taylor (psychology) and Bryce Fehmel (marketing) were recognized for the third time in their careers. Brandon Eisert (marketing), Preston Jones (sociology), Tyler Malone (history), Jake Mulholland (business administration), Adley Rutschman (finance) and Sam Tweedt (graduate student, formerly finance) were all honored for the second time. Nathan Burns (human development and family sciences), Joe Casey (public health), Troy Claunch (finance), Alex McGarry (business administration), Kyler McMahan (sociology) and Mitchell Verburg (kinesiology) all received their first recognition.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and be in at least their second year at their respective universities.
