UPDATED -- No. 17 Men's Rowing Headed to Pac-12 Championships

DUE TO EXPECTED INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE START TIME FOR SUNDAY'S REGATTA HAS BEEN MOVED UP TO 8:00 A.M.
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men's rowing team, currently ranked No. 17 in the nation, is travelling to Sacramento this week for the 2019 Pac-12 Rowing Championships this Sunday, May 19. The championship event will be held on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center.
The Beavers are sending four crews who will take on the entire field in every race category. OSU's Varsity 8, Junior Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8 and Varsity 4+ will all compete on Sunday beginning with the V4+ at 9 a.m.
The men's championship features four ranked crews, which includes the Beavers. The event features No. 2 Washington, the reigning champion, No. 4 California, No. 13 Stanford and No. 17 Oregon State.
UPDATED RACING SCHEDULE
8:00 a.m. – Varsity 4+
9:00 a.m. – Third Varsity 8
9:30 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
10:00 a.m. – Varsity 8
Following the conclusion of racing on Sunday, there will be a team/fan taco BBQ lunch for those fans in attendance for $10 per person. The BBQ will take place under the Oregon State sponsored tent located along the beach toward the finish line.
Scoring
At the championships, crews are awarded points for where they place in each race, not including the men's V4+. The institution with the most total points is determined to be the Pac-12 Champion.
