Oregon State makes its first appearance at the Seattle Baseball Showcase Friday at T-Mobile Park. First pitch between the Beavers and Minnesota is slated for 3 p.m. PT.

Beau Philip went 2-for-4 with a double and Oregon State walked nine times but the Beavers were unable to overcome two West Virginia home runs in a 2-0 loss Sunday at Goss Stadium. Sam Tweedt held the Mountaineers to a pair of solo home runs in the second inning, and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings, but was charged with the loss. Philip singled in the seventh and doubled in the ninth.

Looking ahead, Sunday's game with Coastal Carolina will be the Beavers' first broadcast on the Pac-12 Network this year. That will start an eight-game stretch where the Beavers will be on the Network six times.
Against Minnesota
Oregon State is meeting Minnesota for the second time this year on Friday, having defeated the Golden Gophers, 13-1, in Surprise. Adley Rutschman homered and drove in four runs in the win, while Preston Jones, Alex McGarry, Tyler Malone, Andy Armstrong and Kyler McMahan all posted two hits.

Beau Philip's 2-for-4 day on Sunday extended his hit streak to seven games. He is 11-for-25 (.440) with three doubles, two home runs and nine runs batted in during it.
