Slocum, Pivec Named All-Pac-12

CORVALLIS – Oregon State standouts Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec have both been named to the All-Pac-12 Team, the conference office announced Tuesday morning. In addition, Aleah Goodman was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, while senior Katie McWilliams earned Pac-12 Defensive Honorable Mention.

Slocum leads the Beavers with an average of 16.1 points per game this season. She is shooting 46.2 percent from the field, and has 142 assists on the campaign. Slocum has been named to the mid-season watch lists for the Wooden Award, Naismith Trophy and the Lieberman Award. The digital communication arts major is the sixth player in Oregon State history with multiple point-assist double doubles, and has scored 20 points 12 times this season. The honor is Slocum's second all-conference award, as she was named Second Team All-Big-Ten in her freshman year at Maryland.

Pivec was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention last season, and is averaging 14.6 points and 9.0 rebounds this year. She is shooting 54.3 percent from the floor, the second-best percentage in the Pac-12 and the fifth-best percentage by a guard in the nation. A junior biohealth science major, Pivec is currently 18^th in program history with 1,088 career points and 10^th in career rebounds with 691.

Goodman has had an outstanding season for the Beavers, averaging 10.7 points per game, despite coming off the bench in 27 of her 30 appearances. The sophomore has scored in double-figures in seven of her last nine games, and earned ESPNW National Player of the Week honors on Feb. 25. Goodman is 23^rd in the nation in 3-point percentage at 42.3 percent.

McWilliams has earned her second-straight Defensive Honorable Mention. The senior has played 134 games over the course of her career, making 84 starts. She was a Maui Classic All-Tournament honoree, and is fifth in Oregon State history for career 3-point percentage.

Oregon State will open play in the Pac-12 Tournament Friday evening in Las Vegas. The Beavers will be the No. 3 seed and will play a quarterfinal matchup at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's game between Utah and Washington.
