
Beavers To Head South For Duck Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team will compete at the 30th Annual Duck Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Creswell, Ore.
FIELD (16): Oregon State, Boise State, Denver, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Oral Roberts, Oregon, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Seattle, Washington State and Wyoming.
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,165-yard Emerald Valley Golf Club.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State will go with a lineup of juniors Kyosuke Hara and Shawn Lu, sophomore Spencer Tibbits and freshmen Sean Kato and Nolan Thoroughgood. Senior Trevor Yu will compete as an individual.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. both days.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament at golfstat.com.

LAST TIME OUT: Spencer Tibbits finished in a tie for sixth place to lead the Oregon State men's golf team at the 10th Annual Bandon Dunes Championship that ended on March 12.
The Beavers concluded the three-day, 54-hole tournament in 10th place with a 32-over 300-291-305--896 at the par-72, 6,954-yard Bandon Dunes Course.
Utah won the 17-team event with a 12-over 876 and the Utes' Blake Tomlinson claimed medalist honors with a 4-under 212.
Tibbits carded a 1-over 75-71-71--217 for his third top-10 finish in seven tournaments this season. He had three top-10 finishes, including a career-best fourth place at the Duck Invitational, in 11 events last year as a freshman.
Sean Kato finished in a tie for 36th place with a 9-over 74-71-80--225 and Shawn Lu finished in a tie for 43rd with an 11-over 76-74-77--227.
Kyosuke Hara posted a 12-over 75-76-77--228 to finish in a tie for 49th place and Nolan Thoroughgood wrapped up play with a 24-over 83-75-82--240 for a tie for 97th.
