CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State gymnastics fans are invited to join the team as the program hosts its NCAA Championships Selection Show Watch Party Monday, March 25 in the Loge Level of Reser Stadium. Doors are set to open at 1:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 2 p.m.
Oregon State is one of four NCAA Regional Championships host sites April 4-6. The Beavers know they will compete at home but will learn Monday afternoon who will be the competition at the Corvallis regional. The other pre-determined campus hosts will be Georgia, LSU and Michigan.
2019 marks the first year of a new postseason format for women's gymnastics. Regionals brackets are determined based on National Qualifying Score (RQS) with the top 36 teams receiving postseason berths at four regionals. The first round will take place Thursday, April 4, as a dual meet between the eighth and ninth seeded teams with the winner advancing to the second round. Friday's second round consists of two quad meets with the top two finishers of each session advancing to the regional final on Saturday. The top two finishing teams from each regional final advances to the NCAA Championships, held this year in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
The Beavers, who are currently ranked 14th in the nation, will qualify to the postseason for the 45th straight year. Oregon State competes Saturday at 5 p.m. PDT as the third-seed at Pac-12 Championships in West Valley City, Utah, live on Pac-12 Network.
