Oregon State outlasted Oregon, 7-6, Tuesday in a midweek game that featured a combined 20 walks, 17 strikeouts, 15 hits and three errors. Oregon State went ahead for good with a four-run third inning and Beau Philip and Adley Rutschman each drove in a pair of runs to pace the Beavers. Christian Chamberlain earned his second win of the season after holding UCLA to three walks, with three strikeouts, in 2 2/3 scoreless relief innings.

Oregon State and UCLA are both ranked in the top-10 in all six major polls, and both teams find themselves in the top-five in at least five rankings. Oregon State was 4-1 versus top-10 teams a year ago, and 8-2 against top-25 clubs.
