Get to Know Kristina Peterson
This week we Get to Know another freshman, Kristina Peterson. Kristina, who hails from Tukwila, Wash., joined the program in the fall and earned a spot in the beam lineup for the season-opener. Since then, Kristina has been an alternate on the floor exercise. Studying childhood development, she intends to become a kindergarten teacher.
What OSU team do you get most excited to watch?
The OSU team that gets me most excited to watch is men's soccer.
Where would you most like to live someday?
I have always wanted to live in Japan because it's so beautiful there.
How many U.S. states have you visited?
My final guess would have to be 16 … I think. The best person to ask is my mom. She remembers better than me.
What is your secret power/talent?
One gross/cool talent I have is a double-jointed big toe. I can pop it in and out of socket.
What fad or trend do you hope comes back?
The magician challenge.
What fictional place would you most like to go?
I have always wanted to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
What's your favorite holiday?
My favorite holidays are Christmas and New Year's Day.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
The activity I would love to have in the Olympics would be a Do It Yourself competition. I know that I would have a good chance of winning that.
Are you usually early or late?
I always try to be early because I get anxiety when I'm late to things.
Horror or romance?
I'm more of an action kind of girl, but romance for this choice hands down. I can't watch horror movies.
Read or watch the movie?
Always read the book first because you'll miss out on important details the movie doesn't have.
Hang gliding or whitewater rafting?
I've never been hang gliding, so I choose that.
Sushi or tacos?
SUSHI!!!!
What is the most annoying question that people ask you?
What's it like to be short? Do you ever want to be tall?
What is something that a lot of people are obsessed with but you just don't get the point?
I'm going to get hate from my teammates but The Office (TV show). I just don't get it. I'm sorry, but I've tried.
