Oregon State starts its second weekend of action when the Beavers take on Nebraska Thursday in Surprise, Ariz. First pitch is slated for 12 p.m. PT (1 p.m. in Arizona).

Preston Jones set a career-high with three hits and drove in two, including on a first-inning solo home run, to pace the Beavers to a 5-0 win over New Mexico on Sunday in Surprise. Brandon Eisert backed up starter Grant Gambrell with 3 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up his second win of the season. Gambrell allowed two hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. Kyler McMahan and Troy Claunch both had two hits.
4-0, Again
Oregon State finds itself at 4-0 for the third consecutive season and fifth time in the last seven. Pat Bailey is the third head coach in school to history to go 4-0 in their first year at the helm of the program. He joins Pat Casey (1995) and Wilkie Clark (1914).
Pac-12 Pitcher Of The Week, Again
Bryce Fehmel was named the Pac-12's Pitcher of the Week Tuesday for the second time in his career. Fehmel allowed one hit, one run and three baserunners in eight innings versus Gonzaga last Saturday. OSU has now had the conference's pitcher of the week 24 times since 2014.

Preston Jones has reached base safely in six of his last eight plate appearances. Over that stretch, he has five hits, including a home run and two doubles, with four runs scored and two RBI.Â
Sharp Bullpen
The Oregon State bullpen shined over the team's first four games, seeing action in a total of 15 innings. Seven relievers combined to allow nine hits, three runs (1.80 ERA) and six walks with 13 strikeouts.
