Beavers Going For Road Sweep Saturday At Utah

THE GAME: Oregon State (13-7, 5-3 Pac-12) goes for its first-ever road sweep of the Mountain schools when it takes on Utah (11-9, 5-3 Pac-12) at 2 p.m. PT (3 p.m. MT) on Saturday at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Utah won the only between the teams last season, 66-64, on Dec. 31 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. Tres Tinkle had a team-high 14 points, five rebounds and five assists and Stephen Thompson Jr. added 13 points. Justin Bibbins led the Utes with 18 points and David Collette finished with 12.

Stephen Thompson Jr. scored the game-winning points in Oregon State's last two wins against Utah. The first came on Feb. 4, 2016 when he made three free throws with one-tenth of a second to play for a 71-69 win. The second came on Feb. 19, 2017 when he made a layup with 10.3 seconds to play for a 68-67 win.
