
Beavers to Open Season Ranked 11th

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Oregon State gymnastics team will begin the 2020 campaign as the 11th ranked team in the nation according to the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Preseason Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
Eleven out of 15 opponents on the Beavers' schedule are ranked in the top 36 with a 12th receiving votes. In addition, seven Pac-12 Conference teams are ranked among the top 25 and all eight of the league's gymnastics programs are in the top 36.
Oregon State's home schedule includes duals against No. 4 UCLA (Feb. 29), No. 17 Washington (March 6), No. 22 Stanford (Feb. 2) and No. 27 Illinois (March 14). In addition, the Beavers will host No. 2 LSU and No. 21 Arizona State (Feb. 8) and unranked Seattle Pacific and Centenary (Jan. 11) in tri-meets. The 15th annual DAM Cancer meet is set for Feb. 2 when the Beavers take on the Cardinal in Gill Coliseum.
The Beavers' road slate will also have challenges with a season-opening tri-meet against No. 8 Georgia and No. 29 Iowa, when they meet at the Critique Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. on Jan. 3. OSU also face road trips to No. 9 California, No. 31 Arizona and unranked Sacramento State.
Oregon State concluded the 2019 season with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The Beavers return four All-Americans in Halli Briscoe (uneven bars), Maela Lazaro (balance beam), Isis Lowery (floor exercise) and Kaitlyn Yanish (floor exercise).
