Beavers To Face San Jose State Wednesday In Vegas

Oregon State won the most recent meeting, 65-55, on Dec. 29, 1986 at the Far West Classic at Memorial Coliseum in Portland. Jose Ortiz had 38 points and 11 rebounds for the Beavers and Gary Payton, who was a freshman at the time, finished with six points and nine assists. Ricky Berry and Gerald Thomas scored 13 points apiece to lead the Spartans.
