What is your favorite thing about playing at Oregon State?
My favorite thing about playing at OSU is the standard all the girls hold each other ro. Our coaches do a great job at facilitating our level of play, but when it comes down to it, the team has an extremely impressive discipline and will always work hard (no matter how early the practice is).
How would you describe what it's like to play for Coach Kagan, Coach Ruiz-Williams and Coach Stirrett?
I feel like our coaches develop us into avid students of the game, as much as they do players on the field. They are extremely smart in all respects and are passionate about even the smallest logistics of the game. They test your mental ability in practice, and I think it really helps us. Everybody on the field is thinking hard and every action has a purpose.
Does your number mean anything to you?
It doesn't have any meaning to me.
If you weren't playing soccer what would you be doing?
Considering I planned on attending OSU regardless of the opportunity to play soccer, I would be gearing up for school in beautiful Corvallis and cheering on the women's soccer team at all their home games.
Which of your teammates do you think is the funniest? Why?
Sophie Conrad never fails to make me laugh. I swear I have never met another person who can spread laughter the way she can. It's infectious! She will laugh about her own jokes until she's doubled over with tears in her eyes, along with the rest of us. She made me pants from laughing at Prothro one time.
If you could meet one soccer player, who would it be and why?
Marta Vieira da Silva. She is an amazing player as well as a revolutionary symbol. She is one of the many talented women pushing to modernize societies approach to female soccer and female athletics in general.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pho and a Thai ice tea
What's your favorite holiday? Why?
I like Thanksgiving because we always celebrate it at my house with a bunch of my family. It's probably the most time I get to spend with some of my family members. It's nice to have an excuse to see my brother and sister for a longer period of time because they don't live at home anymore.
What skill would you like to master?
Soccer
Who has had the biggest influence on your soccer career?
My mom and dad
At what age did you know you wanted to play soccer in college? What made you realize that?
Age 16. I was in my sophomore year of high school. I realized I didn't want my soccer career to end after high school. That's when I realized college soccer was probably the best option.
