
Skiba Named Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week

CORVALLIS – Oregon State sophomore Bridgette Skiba (Portland, Ore.) has been named Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week, the site announced Tuesday.
Skiba recorded seven saves between Oregon State's 1-1 draw at Utah and 2-1 victory over Colorado this week. The goalkeeper saw 35 shots over the course of the two games and made a leaping catch in the final minute of play in Boulder to secure the upset over No. 17 Colorado on the road. Â
The psychology major has 29 saves in 1014 minutes and is posting a .806 save percentage placing her second in the Pac-12 in save percentage. Skiba is also third in the Pac-12 in goals-against average with .620.
As a team, OSU have started the year 9-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in Pac-12 play. The Beavers sit at No. 25 on the latest RPI and is second in the Pac-12 for fewest goals allowed.
