Beavers Look to Remain Unbeaten in Pac-12 Play

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State wrestling team looks to remain unbeaten in conference play this week as it returns to Gill Coliseum for a Pac-12 Conference matchup with No. 21 Arizona State. The match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start and will air on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Beavers find themselves in the team tournament rankings by a number of publications. The highest of which comes in the form of No. 18 ranking by TheOpenMat; InterMat places the Beavers at No. 19, while TrackWrestling sits OSU at No. 20.

Senior 125-pounder Ronnie Bresser remains one of the best wrestlers in the country being ranked unanimously as the No. 3 wrestler at his weight class. His only loss this season came at the hands of the nation's No. 1 ranked wrestler.

Sophomore Hunter Willits finds the rankings in just one publication this week coming in at No. 18 according to TheOpenMat. Amar Dhesi is a unanimous top 10 selection and sits highest at No. 4 in TheOpenMat and in FloWrestling's rankings.

The Beavers return to Corvallis following a 1-1 road trip to Colorado and Wyoming. OSU got the better of Northern Colorado, 27-12, before falling in a tightly contested match with No. 12 Wyoming, 22-16.

Redshirt senior Bresser earned Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week for his efforts on the road. The Klamath Falls native secured a pair of victories over the No. 17 and No. 18 ranked wrestlers at 125 pounds.

Arizona State holds a 3-6 overall record with a 0-0 slate in Pac-12 play. The Sun Devils are coming off a 21-20 loss to the Sooners of Oklahoma in their last time out, but are winners of two out of their last four meets.
