Get to Know Alyssa Minyard
Next up in our Get to Know series is Alyssa Minyard. Alyssa is a junior from Golden, Colo. and was a key contributor to the bars and beam lineups as a sophomore last season. A Pac-12 All-Academic selection last year, Alyssa is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology with an option in pre-med and a minor in chemistry.
What OSU team do you get most excited to watch?
Baseball and men's soccer
Where would you most like to live someday?
Either San Francisco or Seattle. I would really just love to be somewhere on the west coast.
How many U.S. states have you visited?
29
What is your secret power/talent?
I can fit 12 marshmallows in my mouth at one time – playing 'Chubby Bunny.'
What fad or trend do you hope comes back?
Scrunchies. I used to wear them in my hair every day when I was little and I would match the color of the scrunchie with my outfit.
What fictional place would you most like to go?
Naboo (planet from Star Wars)
What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
Napping
Are you usually early or late?
At least 10 minutes early. Any less than that and I stress out.

Horror

Watch the movie
Hang gliding or whitewater rafting?
Whitewater rafting. I've been many times with my family and absolutely love it!

Sushi always
What is the most annoying question that people ask you?
Can you do the splits? Or can you do a back flip?
What is something that a lot of people are obsessed with but you just don't get the point?
Reality TV – i.e. Keeping Up With the Kardashians or The Bachelor
