Beavers Remain Home to the Arizona schools

ON TAP
• After playing 12 of 13 matches on the road, Oregon State remains at home this week to host the Arizona schools.
• OSU (10-4, 0-2 Pac-12) faces Arizona State (10-4, 1-1) Friday at 7 p.m.
• The Beavers return to the court Sunday at noon to take on No. 24 Arizona (12-2, 1-1).
DAM WORTH IT
• Sunday's match is OSU volleyball's designated Dam Worth It game. Dam Worth It is a campaign started by current OSU men's soccer player Nathan Braaten and former gymnast Taylor Ricci with the goal to destigmatize and raise awareness about student-athlete mental health issues. PROMOTIONS
• Friday is Family Night presented by Paventy & Brown Orthodontics. Fans can purchase four tickets for $20 at BeaverTickets.com/Volleyball (online only).
• The match with ASU is Faculty/Staff Friday. Oregon State faculty and staff can purchase tickets for $5 with a valid OSU ID.
• Sunday is a Jr. Beavs match. Children enrolled as Jr. Beavs receive free admission with a $5 companion ticket.
• 2018 summer camp participants receive free admission to every home OSU volleyball match with their 2018 camp t-shirt.
• The Beavers will sign autographs following both matches.

AGAINST THE SUN DEVILS
• Oregon State is 21-43 all-time against ASU. The Beavers beat the Sun Devils in both meetings last season for the first time since 2014 and have won five of the last seven matchups.
AGAINST THE WILDCATS
• The Beavers is 17-47 in the series with Arizona. OSU swept the Wildcats twice in 2017 and have won three straight and four of the last five meetings.
AHEAD OF THE PAC
• The Beavers rank second in the Pac-12 with 2.91 blocks per set in 2018. Middle blocker Lindsey Schell ranks second in the conference with 1.40 blocks per set. In addition, Maddy Gravley (1.13), Serena Bruin (1.00) and Haylie Bennett (1.00) all average at least a block per set.
• Libero Grace Massey ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 4.70 digs per set. She has recorded a season-high 29 digs in two of the Beavers' last four matches.
ACES
• Sophomore libero Grace Massey was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week following the opening week of the season. Massey accumulated a conference-high 65 digs at the Iowa State Challenge and was named as a tournament co-MVP.
• Freshman setter Maddie Sheehan was named as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week following the SDSU/USD Challenge. Sheehan tied her career-high with 44 assists and added career-bests with six kills and five blocks in a win over No. 23 San Diego.
• Senior Kayla Ellis once again moved up OSU's all-time rankings to fourth with 1,313 career digs passing Shelly Smith (1991-94) in the match against Washington. She within striking distance of third (Tricia Becker, 1,483) late in the season.
ON THE SIDELINE
• Senior Kory Cheshire is out for the season due to an undisclosed injury.
• Senior outside hitter Shekinah Clarke will miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
• Both will apply for another year of eligibility and intend to return to the program in 2019.
• Haylie Bennett suffered an injury in the match at Oregon (9/20) and is considered week-to-week.
OFF THE SIDELINE
• Freshman outside hitter Kyla Waiters made her collegiate debut in Sunday's match against Washington (9/23). Waiters came on midway through the fifth set when the Beavers were seeking a spark.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS
• SDSU/USD Challenge - Amy Underdown was chosen as the MVP after leading the team in kills in each match as the Beavers went 3-0 including a five-set upset of No. 23 San Diego. Maddy Gravley was also named to the all-tournament team.
• K-State Invitational - Haylie Bennett and Maddie Sheehan were named to the all-tournament team.
• Iowa State Challenge - Maddie Goings and Lindsey Schell were each named to the Iowa State Challenge All-Tournament Team and Grace Massey was selected as a tournament co-MVP on the season's opening weekend.
