CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's golf team opens its much-anticipated 2018-19 season at the East West Match Play Challenge this Sunday through Tuesday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

There will be eight teams in the field playing 36 holes of stroke play to determine the seeding for match play. The top four teams will advance to the championship bracket, while the remaining four will play in the consolation bracket. In addition, eight non-team individuals will compete in stroke play and a match play event of their own.

FIELD (8): Oregon State, Iowa State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas A&M, UC Davis and Wisconsin.

COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,292-yard Radrick Farms Golf Course.

BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State will go with a lineup of seniors Olivia Benzin and Susie Cavanagh, junior Nicole Schroeder, and sophomores Amanda Minni and Ellie Slama.

STROKE PLAY FORMAT: Five players, count the low four scores
Â
MATCH PLAY FORMAT: Five players, head-to-head individual play. First team to three points (one point for each individual win). Extra holes will be played as necessary.

TEE TIMES: There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT (7 a.m. PT) on Sunday with 36 holes of continuous play. Match play begins at 9 a.m. CT (7 a.m. PT) on Monday off the first and 10th holes. Tuesday's match play begins at 8:30 a.m. CT (6:30 a.m. PT) off the first and 10th tees.

- Posted the best (-14, Westbrook Spring Invitational) and second best (-6, Ron Moore Invitational) three-round scores in program history.
- Advanced to NCAA Regionals in back-to-back years for the first time since 2000-01.
- Recorded five consecutive top-5 finishes during the spring season.
- Ellie Slama broke Oregon State's single-season scoring average record (72.79).
- Broke Oregon State's senior (Susie Cavanagh 74.59), junior (Olivia Benzin 74.52) and freshman (Ellie Slama 72.79) single-season scoring average records.
- Ellie Slama (first, 72.79), Nicole Schroeder (third, 73.93), Olivia Benzin (fifth, 74.52) and Susie Cavanagh (seventh, 74.59) all finished in the top seven on Oregon State's single-season scoring average list.
- Olivia Benzin and Nicole Schroeder both set Oregon State's single-round record with a 6-under 66.
- Ellie Slama (Ron Moore Invitational) and Nicole Schroeder (NCAA Regionals) both won individual titles.
- Ellie Slama set Oregon State's three-round record with an 11-under 205.
- Nicole Schroeder became the fourth Oregon State golfer to advance to NCAA Championships after shooting a 10-under 206 at NCAA Regionals.
- Olivia Benzin (74.56) and Nicole Schroeder (74.85) are 1-2 on Oregon State's career scoring average list (must have played 40 rounds and two full seasons to qualify).
