Oregon State Set to Host UBC in Saturday Exhibition

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team will start off the 2018 season on Friday, when it hosts an exhibition vs. the University of British Columbia at Paul Lorenz Field. Admission to the contest will be free to all fans, and the game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.

Oregon State won the final two games of the 2017 season, and is looking to carry that momentum into the upcoming year. The Beavers' 2018 squad brings in a mixture of young players and experienced upperclassmen.

Oregon State's core of returners is led by senior Allison Pantuso, who started 18 matches last season in the midfield and as a centerback. She led the team in minutes played (1723) while taking 12 shots last season.

UBC posted a 14-3-4 overall record last season, scoring 53 goals in 21 matches. They rounded out their season with a third-place finish in the Canada West Conference in 2017.

Oregon State will open the regular season on Aug. 17, when it hosts Clemson at Lorenz Field. OSU's men's and women's soccer teams will begin selling tickets in the 2018 season. Learn more here.
