Beavers Hold Final Scrimmage Before Season Opener

BEND, Ore. – Jake Luton passed for 161 yards and Jordan Choukair connected on six field goals to highlight the final scrimmage before the season opener for the Oregon State football team. The Beavers are set to open the season next Saturday at Ohio State on ABC with a 9:07 a.m. PT kick.

Luton connected with Kolby Taylor for a 54-yard touchdown, the lone score by the offense on the day. The senior quarterback was 11-for-17 overall.

Choukair was 6-for-6 in field goal attempts, including four of 47 yards or more. His two longest were 52 and 54 yards.

The lone touchdown on the defensive side of the ball came via a 51-yard interception return by linebacker Luke Leonnig.
