CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State guard Kat Tudor and Assistant Athletic Director for Women's Basketball Eric Ely will represent the United States at the inaugural FISU America Games in Brazil this month.

Tudor is an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention who started all 34 games for the Beavers last season, averaging 12.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest. She knocked down 89 3-pointers in her sophomore campaign, and currently sits seventh in Oregon State history with 138 career triples. Tudor tallied 20 double-digit scoring games last season, and shot 41.2 percent from beyond the arc.
"I'm excited to grow as a person and a player," Tudor said. "It will be awesome to represent the United States of America."
Ely will serve as an assistant under head coach Jane Albright. He is heading into his ninth season as part of the Oregon State staff, and his third in his current role of assistant athletic director. During his playing career, Ely spent four years playing in Brazil earning a lifetime contract and garnering all-star status in 1984 and 1985.
"I'm looking forward to working with this staff and getting to know this team," Ely said. "I'm excited to get back to Brazil and I look forward to the experiences this team will have there. It is going to be a great opportunity to represent Oregon State and the U.S.A."
The FISU America Games are a multi-sport event sanctioned by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). Alternating with the Summer and Winter Universiades, which invite all the countries of the world for the biennial events, the FISU America Games are a regional multi-sport event similar to the Pan-American Games for FISU member-countries of North and South America held in even-numbered years.
