Wingeleth Sets All-Time Mark at Oregon Twilight

EUGENE, Ore. – Redshirt sophomore Ann Wingeleth set a personal best in the long jump on Friday night to lead the Oregon State track & field team at the Oregon Twilight Meet at Hayward Field.
Wingeleth recorded the fourth-best mark in Oregon State history in her final jump measuring 19' 5.25". She took second in the event, but claimed the top sport for collegiate student-athletes.
Senior Alba Villaronga claimed second place in the 100-meter hurdles continuing her recent surge of success in the event. Villaronga ran a 14.50, just 17-hundreths of a second behind first.
Redshirt junior Dakota Steen also placed second in her only event of the day in the 400-meter hurdles.
After overcoming some early season injuries junior Juliana Mount had a great showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Mount crossed the line in 10:27.80 and in third place in her first attempt at the event this year.
Annie Sidor cleared 11' 3.75" in the pole vault finishing in third place, while Tory Edwards finished tied for fifth at 10' 10". Competing unattached, Gillette Field took first place with a 12' 3.5" clear.

The Beavers will be represented by Saskia McNairy and Claire Corbitt at the Pac-12 Multi-Event Championships beginning on Saturday morning at Stanford.
