Beavers Win Pair of Events at John Knight Twilight

TUCSON, Ariz. – Led by Dakota Steen and Tory Edwards, the Oregon State University track & field team wrapped up competition at the in-state John Knight Twilight on the campus of Western Oregon.
In her only event of the evening Dakota Steen won the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.79. This was the first attempt at the event this outdoor season for the redshirt junior.
Sophomore pole vaulter Tory Edwards was also crowned in her event. Edwards cleared 11-feet 1.75-inches giving the Beavers their second win at the twilight event.
Amy Hilger took second place in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet 5-inches. She set a season-best in the event, clearing her previous mark of 5-feet 3.25-inches set at the MPSF Indoor Championships in February.
Another season best was logged in the 1,500 meters from freshman Audrey Lookner. Lookner ran 4:45.19 taking fourth place.
The Beavers conclude their busy weekend on Saturday at the Baylor Invitational.
