
McNairy Leads OSU at Jim Click Multis

TUCSON, Ariz. – Saskia McNairy led the Beavers charge on Day 1 of the Jim Click Multis in the heptathlon on Thursday at the University of Arizona.
McNairy scored 2,960 points in the first four events of the seven-part competition. Claire Corbitt scored 2,604 points and currently sits in 16th place in the 18-woman field.
McNairy ran 15.04 in the 100-meter hurdles, her fastest time of the season, scoring 836 points. She cleared 5-feet 2.5-inches in the high jump, also a season best, scoring 724 points. In the shot put she scored 552 points with a throw of 33-feet 11.5-inches. She recorded a season-best in the 200 meters with a 25.67 scoring 848 points.
Corbitt scored her most points in the 100-meter hurdles; 759 points for a 15.46. She jumped to the tune of 4-feet 11-inches in the high jump scoring 621 points. In the 200 meters she ran a 26.59 scoring 746 points, while she earned 478 points for a 30-feet 2.75-inch throw in the shot put.
Action resumes on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. with the long jump.
The Beavers are in action elsewhere this weekend at the John Knight Twilight on Friday, and the Baylor Invitational on Saturday.
